Some time ago, I asked Hannah from Hannah Lauren and Co if she wanted to do a shared DIY project with me, and after some thought we decided to create patterned stamps.
I have chosen two different kinds of materials to make mine, one using a rubber, and other two using craft foam. Both ways are very simple to make and stamp easily onto paper.

To make the craft foam stamps, I started by making the base of the stamp where you will be gluing the foam. I used a tetra pack package, cut it in squares and small rectangles and hot glued several layers together till I had the size I wanted.
You can also make a handle to help you hold the stamp, especially for bigger stamps.

Finally, cut the craft foam with the shape you want, and glue it to the base.
And that's it, as I said this is really simple. If you want to make it even more quick and easy you can use something else you have in hand to make the base maybe a piece of plastic or wood, I just wanted to make it recycled that's why I choosed the tetra pack package.

This was my first try making stamps, have you ever made some?
Talk to you soon,
I've been having a hard time find stamps that say Handmade by that I liked so I attempted to make my own. Also found just buying self-adhesive foam sheets and a Xacto knife works alot easier and saves you from accidentally cutting yourself as you try to carve out an eraser. Just cute the foam sheet into the design you like then peel off the backing and stick onto a wood tile or use removable poster putty and use a acrylic stamp block.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really easy and quick way to do it :)
