DIY Easter Headband

As you probably already guessed today's DIY is Easter related, that's right there is only 26 days left to eat all the chocolate eggs possible and make your favorite Easter crafts.

To anyone who still has no idea what to make, here is a quick felt bunny headband.

You will need:
- Felt
- Headband
- Ribbon
- Hot Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Acrylic paints and paintbrush

1. Fold the felt in half and draw the shape of the bunny ears;
2. Leaving the felt still folded cut the shapes (front and back);
3. Glue the ears to the headband, start by gluing the bottom of both sides of the shapes to the inside of the headband, and join both pieces together at the center of the outside part of the headband;
4. Make a pretty bow and glue it to one of the ears;
5. If you want, using the acrylics paint the center of the ears.

Don't really know why, but I ended up painting the bow with the acrylic paints as well, you don't need to do it, it looks great without it.

Sorry for the not so good step-by-step pictures, I had to use a yellow paperboard because my table was also white, it was hard to see the difference between felt and table.

But anyway, I hope like this idea, if you do let me know in the comments.
Also if you have any ideas or suggestions i would love to hear it.

Top 5 DIY of the week

Hi everyone...
I really don't know what to say in the intro today =/
But any way this is another Top 5 DIY, where I choose the 5 DIY's that have inspired me this week.
I hope you like them as much as I do.

Aki from Minted Strawbery created this faux cement dangling earings, they are made of polymer clay, and it gave me some ideas to use my block of purple and glitter fimo, that as been on my drawer for some time. Tuturial here

You probably already noticed my kind of obsession with bows x) and I've discovered a tutorial on how to create a fabric bow belt,  not sure if i will ever make one for myself , but it looks super cute anyway. Click here.

This mountain clock definitely takes some wood cutting skills, which I do not have, but if you are like me you can always ask a friend or your dad to cut the wood for you :P. This DIY is from a new blog that I've discovered called Say Yes  and the instructions are here.

Today The posted a new tutorial on how to create the waterfall nail art in the picture with a step by step video. I also love the kind of pastel colors she choose it reminds me of spring :)

Sometimes the simplest things are the most useful, and A Fabulous Fete blog published these cute and simple embroidered drawstring bags. I think one with a cat would look adorable. Click here to read the blog post and the instructions.

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Swallows Wall Decor

Hi everyone, if you follow me on instagram, you might already know that I was painting something last week.
Well that project is finally finished and today's post is about sharing with you the finished look, steps and resources if you want to recreate the same decoration.

I've painted this for my sister's room, she wanted silhouettes of birds flying and we decided on swallows on a blue background.

The first step was to find swallow images and silhouettes and assemble them all together in different sizes and positions.

If you want to recreate this I've uploaded the shapes onto my drive, click here to get them.

To make sure all the birds were in the same place as in the computer, I attributed numbers to each one off the 22 swallows.

After the wall was painted blue, I cut and taped the shapes onto the planned places according to the numbers. I actually ended up changing 1 or 2 birds from place.

The next step was to trace the shapes onto the wall and after that, it was paint brush in hand and paint paint paint..

Coffee and Chocolate Brownies

As I said on Sunday here is a new recipe, this is my favorite brownie recipe it tastes great and it's simple to make, what more could you ask for? I've used chocolate, coffee and walnuts but you can switch the walnuts for almonds if you want. The recipe in English and Portuguese so you don't struggle with the different types of measurements.

100g dark cooking chocolate (60% cacao)
100g unsalted butter
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoon hot milk
3 tablespoon espresso powder
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Crushed walnuts.

Preheat the oven to 180ºC or 365ºF.
Melt the chocolate with butter in a double boiler and mix well. Let it cool.
Beat the eggs and sugar with a whisk until blended.
Dissolve the coffee in milk and add to the egg mixture with sugar.
Add the chocolate and butter mixture and stir well.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix  to the rest of the dough until homogeneous
Now you can mix the nuts intro the dough or save to spread on top.
Place the dough in a form with 20x30cm greased and floured.
Bake about 20 minutes until the edges get baked and the center is creamy.
Cut into squares and serve.

100g chocolate meio amargo (60% cacau)
100g manteiga sem sal
2 ovos
1 xicara açúcar
3 colheres de sopa de leite quente
3 colheres de sopa de café soluvel
3/4 xicara de farinha de trigo
1/2 colher de café de fermento em pó
Nozes picadas

Pré-aqueça o forno a 180ºC.
